Planung technisch-organisatorischerSysteme GmbH (PLATOS) is an internationally operating engineering company and consultancy located in Germany in the city of Herzogenrath, which is close to Aachen. PLATOS is doing the strategical engineering business successfully since about 20 years. The core competences of PLATOS are the development of new production concepts and logistic systems to cope with the demands of the future and for activating the potential of new product- and production technologies. One major focus of the PLATOS development work is the strategical design of the production- and logistic processes targeting to high cost effectiveness and also high responsiveness of the processes. A special expertise of PLATOS is the conceptual design of logistic and manufacturing processes for auto modules, such as powertrains, frontends etc.
Employing 12 highly qualified people PLATOS is a SME with best potential and experience for research in the area of effective production and logistic processes. PLATOS is currently partner in research projects funded by the German government targeting at the design of the production of the future. In addition to that PLATOS is developing new concepts for worldwide operating automotive suppliers for adapting their manufacturing and logistic processes to the demands of the future.
