The University of Cambridge is one of the oldest universities in the world, and one of the largest in the United Kingdom. Its reputation for outstanding academic achievement is known world-wide and reflects the intellectual achievement of its students, as well as the world-class original research carried out by the staff of the University and the Colleges.

The Judge Institute of Management, Cambridge University’s Business School, aims for research output which combines the highest academic standards with relevance to the needs of business and public policy. Specifically, its research aims to challenge conventional wisdom, advance knowledge with innovative thinking, and identify ways to improve businesses. The institute has over 80 faculty and research staff, seven research centres, and has strong links into national and international research collaborations, such as the Cambridge-MIT Institute (CMI) for example.

The University of Cambridge has a longstanding history in automotive research, in particular through the School of Engineering, the Judge Institute of Management, and the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), which is also providing a Master’s programme for the Automotive Academy, recently launched by the UK’s Department of Trade and Industry.

Furthermore, the University of Cambridge will be an interface to the international research community and other related research programmes, such as the MIT International Motor Vehicle Program for example.
